Left - Shepherd Joy & Tabitha, 2003 NEWS FROM THE FARM -- The Dutchess gave us a beautiful Ewe Lamb - Son Rise Sunshine "Sunny" 3/20/08 the First Day of Spring! We were glad Isaac was home from the hospital (see below) for Sunny's arrival! Our second lamb, Son Rise Royal Ranger, arrived on 3/22/08. All are doing well! We are still awaiting Perfectspot Gloria's lamb's arrival! Due to a boy/horse accident Monday, March 11, SPRING FLING scheduled for April 26 was cancelled. After a week in the hospital (with 5 days in PICU), Isaac came home to continue his healing. His last day surgery on 4/25 meant the end of follow-up appointments and day surgeries. Isaac is well on the road to recovery. We are very thankful! We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience and hope you will plan to join us for Fall Harvest Daze November 1, and during the CFSA Farm Tour September 20-21. We will also be at the Creedmoor Farmer's Market, May 1 - November 29, 8 am to noon. We will not be at the market 9/6, 9/13 (Fall Fest in Liberty, NC - tentative), 9/20, 11/1. Our offerings will include duck eggs (great for baking & eating), wool (raw and washed), handspun yarns, hand knit & hand woven items, wire & bead jewelry (Rebekah's latest enterprise) and home grown vegetables. Life on the farm is never boring! LAMBS FOR SALE - Photos, descriptions and prices will be posted on Sheep for Sale New lamb photos will be posted as soon as possible. We'll make our final decisions on who will be offered for sale when the lambs are about 12 weeks old. Congratulations to Linda T. on her purchase of Faith a Border Leicester/Jacob crossbred ewe. Fiber/Fleece For Sale. We've started Spring shearing and will be posting fleece details soon. Click here to see fleeces available for sale. Both washed and unwashed fleeces. Planning to process a raw wool fleece at home? Check out Kookaburra Products. Need more information? Phone us at (919)426-4690 or E-mail joy@shepherdofspots.com!
