Angora goats were added to Son Rise Farm in 2005. Our herd was comprised of three -- Rex, a fiber-producing wether, Bellah and Becky. We lost Bellah to a dog attack in December, and Becky to a dog attack in February.. We miss them. Our angora goats were purchased from Elaina Kenyon, Avillion Farm. We are pleased to have such high-quality angora goats to start our herd! All our does are recessive black. Since we are on limited acreage, we are not planning to breed our angora does at this time. We will be offering their white mohair for sale on our Fiber/Fleece For Sale page. If you are interested in an angora goat, please can contact Elaina at www.avillionfarm.com We are considering adding two dairy goats in the Fall of 2008. This will enable us to make soft goat cheese for family use and sale. We'll update our site as our plans come together. |
