FALL HARVEST DAZE 2008 Saturday, November 1, 2008 10 am - 4 pm $10 per family, payable at check-in. Space is limited, you must call to reserve your family's place. Due to scheduling challenges, no rain date. If weather is uncertain, please call our farm phone (919) 426-4690 after 8am on 10/25 for status of Fall Harvest Daze.
Schedule of Events - Fall Harvest Daze 2008 10:00 am Check-in begins Note: Your family is free to come and go as best fits your schedule. If you leave for lunch and return, there is no additional charge. There is a picnic area and playground a short drive from our Farm. 10:30 am Goat Clipping (see an angora goat sheared) 11:30 am Dyeing yarn with Kool-Aide & Microwave 12:30 pm Angora Rabbit combing 1:30 pm Sheep Shearing (see a sheep sheared) There will be on-going spinning demonstrations using drop spindles and spinning wheel; tri-loom weaving; table loom weaving; and displays of wool, mohair, and angora. Available for Sale - rabbits, knit items, crocheted items, woven items, hand spun yarns, chicken eggs, duck eggs and Kookaburra Wool Scour, Wool Wash, Delicate Wash and Power Wash. |
