SPRING FLING Spring Fling 2008 -- Cancelled due to boy/horse accident on 3/11/08. Please join us for Fall Harvest Daze or the CFSA Fall Farm Tour.
Angora rabbit combing, Jacob sheep shearing, angora goat shearing, spinning (wheel and drop spindle), wool carding (hand & machine), weaving (triangle loom and table loom), knitting and crocheting, Kool-Aide dyeing.
10:00 am Check-in begins Note: Your family is free to come and go as best fits your schedule. If you leave for lunch and return, there is no additional charge. There is a picnic area and playground a short drive from our Farm. 10:30 am Goat Clipping (see an angora goat sheared) 11:30 am Dyeing yarn with Kool-Aide & Microwave 12:30 pm Angora Rabbit combing 1:30 pm Sheep Shearing (see a sheep sheared) There will be on-going spinning demonstrations using drop spindles and spinning wheel; tri-loom weaving; table loom weaving; and displays of wool, mohair, and angora. Available for Sale - rabbits, knit items, crocheted items, woven items, hand spun yarns, chicken eggs, duck eggs and Kookaburra Wool Scour, Wool Wash, Delicate Wash and Power Wash.
